The Presidium of the Supreme Council considered at today's meeting and included in the agenda of the next meeting of the Supreme Council a number of legislations that relate to the housing sector. It is proposed to make a change that will streamline legislation in the sphere of payment by the population for maintenance and repair of elevators in the Housing Code of our republic. Currently there are some contradictions.
Another issue submitted for consideration by the Supreme Council also concerned the housing sector. Currently, for various reasons, not all of our citizens conscientiously fulfill their obligation to pay for housing and communal services. Today in the republic there are more than 100 thousand people who are indebted for housing and communal services. The purpose of the law-in-draft, submitted by the government is the implementation by organizations of the right to go to court for recovery of arrears in housing payments by extending the limitation period to 5 years.
A group of deputies prepared law-in-draft introducing amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses. The authors propose to establish responsibility for the failure of the telecommunications operator providing services to provide access to the global Internet, the duty to restrict access to information containing calls for riots, participation in mass events held in violation of the procedure established by law, as well as information containing other signs of extremist activity, established by the law on countering extremist activities.
During the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the head of the relevant committee Oleg Vasilaty and the speaker Alexander Korshunov briefly acquainted their colleagues with the results of the trip to Moscow.
At the end of the meeting the Presidium members decided to hold the first plenary meeting of the Supreme Council in May on the 15th of May.
