Participants in the grand opening of the 14th military-patriotic camp "Mars", where about 200 children broke tents near Turunciuk in the vicinity of the village of Korotnoye, became deputies of the Supreme Council of different generations - Mikhail Katkov, Victor Guzun, Igor Buga. In an interview with the parliamentary press service, they told about the phenomenon of this camp and about the importance of the patriotic education of the younger generation for the future of the republic.

Igor Buga, deputy of the Supreme Council of the 6th convocation, chairman of the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan.

"This camp is the concentration of sports, military training, cultural leisure, patriotic education. Here, experienced instructors instill the skills of independent life from 11 to 18 years old. This is the age of the formation of young people, the formation of their character. Therefore, within ten days there will be no parents, guardians, homemade food, computers, and there will be live, not virtual, communication between peers sharing common interests. Here the guys will get acquainted and get on well, they will get the skills of adult life, to which all teenagers aspire. The experience of all previous camps testifies that we have not one boy ignoring military service, everyone is going to serve the Motherland with pleasure. I am glad that today the future fighters of our army, law enforcement structures, strong guys and the spirit are in one order. They will become devoted defenders of our Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the future.

Yesterday's rain became a real test for the participants of the camp "Mars", which the children themselves and arranged before the official opening. I expected the boys and girls to panic, but by no means - they were wet, but happy. Pleased to be surprised that after such a rain they did not flinch, stayed in the camp, and did not go home. Vasily Vasilyevich Tishchenko, the head of the state administration of the Slobodzeya district, quickly organized a kamp on duty to evacuate our pupils, but this was not necessary.

For young Pridnestrovians, staying in the camp is a kind of adrenaline, they will become stronger, healthier and more mature. This is a very important factor for them, and for us adults. All parents tell us thanks, because the son or daughter, having returned home, began to behave better, became more responsive.

Almost two hundred pupils are experienced and newcomers, who make up 70 percent. Of course, many want to visit the camp annually, but it is important for us to involve as many children as possible in this life. Every camp day is painted literally every minute. Before lunch, the guys have military training, after - leisure activities. This is football, volleyball, viewing military-patriotic films, relevant talks, including with internationalist soldiers, defenders of Pridnestrovie, clergymen of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese. Cadets will not be bored. They get acquainted with each other, they themselves serve in a dress, they eat in the field kitchen, and life in a tent, broken in the woods, on the bank of the river, can not compare with anything at all. Every year the camp increases the material base. And it is gratifying. It is important for members of the military-patriotic camp to comply with all security requirements, and for this they must unquestioningly carry out all orders of commanders.

Mars for a long time has a special incentive system. As a result of the camp shift, the best will be determined among boys and girls. In return, they will receive a proprietary beret of the military-patriotic camp "Mars", an analog of the maroon berets, which are awarded to the best servicemen of special units. It will be next Sunday".

Victor GUZUN, deputy of the Supreme Council of 4-6 convocations for electoral district No. 43 "Eastern".

"The idea of holding this military-patriotic camp 14 years ago was born in Dnestrovsk with the "Afghan "warrior, the head of the Dniester branch of the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan, Sergei Nikolaevich Marchenko. Then the soldiers-internationalists, defenders of Pridnestrovie of our city supported this undertaking. The first students of "Mars" were young Dniester residents. It was quite difficult to organize this work only on enthusiasm, but the indifference of people "broke" all the walls. Subsequently, the geography of "Mars" expanded, and the number of children grew. They began to come here from Slobodzeya and other areas. Assistance to local state administrations, the Ministry of Defense, and sponsors for the creation of a material base was invaluable. Nevertheless, the Spartan conditions still remain a characteristic feature of the camp, everything is strictly, with military discipline and order.

The history of the camp "Mars" says that boys and young men are born in the masculine character here, friendship arises, human relations are established, which pupils will carry through all life. Positive emotions and impressions will remain for many years.

"Mars" is an unusual camp, it is a camp with a military bias, with clear rules and regulations, discipline. It is important to help each other, to put a shoulder to a friend. I am sure that after the next camp change pupils will again and again want to visit here.

Over the past 14 years, "Mars" has become a clear demonstration of how to conduct patriotic education. Not in theory, but in practice. Not indifferent people, realizing their own initiative, a kind of civic message, created a project that has been living for 14 years and received the republican status. I would like to see such initiative people, such camps in our republic. It is important for the future of our state that the idea of military-patriotic education of youth is widely spread. The youth camp "Mars" is an example of this.

Mikhail Katkov, deputy of the Supreme Council of the 2nd convocation, honorary member of the Presidium of the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan.

"Warriors-internationalists, past the military roads of Afghanistan, can not but worry about such a topic as the military-patriotic education of the younger generation. Every now and then thoughts arose: who will we pass on our experience, the desire to love our Motherland? Lessons of patriotism must be passed on to young people. The first to embody this idea were the "Afghans" from Dnestrovsk. They began to gather with children, including those who are registered with law enforcement agencies, from single-parent families. We received support from Moldavian GRES. In the first camp change there were 32 people from Dnestrovsk and 17 children from the settlements of Slobodzeya district, and now - about two hundred, this is growth! And the growth is significant.

Of course, there was a lot of organizational difficulties at first, and how to do it, because it was necessary to take responsibility for the lives and safety of children. First of all there were military business and sports competitions. Equally important were the meetings of generations: children and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the war in Afghanistan, defenders of Pridnestrovie, leisure activities. It was romantic for children to live in tents, on the river bank, to eat from the field kitchen.

The experience of the first year convinced all of us: it is necessary to continue a good business and distribute it in the regions of the republic. Where it happened, where not so. Today I can not but express my gratitude to all those who helped us develop the initiative of the Dniester "Afghans". Who could do it with products, with tents, whatever they could.

I have something to compare with. The movement has grown, it has become a republican one, its responsible bodies have been connected to its organization. But the Pridnestrovian Association of War Veterans in Afghanistan continues to organize and oversee this project. The camp "Mars" is a great opportunity for the children to get to know each other, make friends, get better, relax, and learn the initial military training. A big role in all this belongs to the instructors. Many thanks to them for the indifferent attitude to the cause to which they serve. They have something to tell and show to the guys, because they went through both the "Afghan" and the Pridnestrovian war. They do it with knowledge of the matter, and most importantly - from the heart. We should not treat children in a different way".
