The maximum periods for unscheduled inspections will be changed

01.11.2023

The Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic proposed to amend the law “On the procedure for conducting inspections during state control (supervision)”, that will adjust the timing of unscheduled inspections.

The law specifies currently that an unscheduled control event must take place within 15 days. The legislative initiative proposes to allow the President and the Supreme Council to initiate unscheduled control measures for a period to be determined by the initiator himself.

The relevant Committee plans to prescribe the specifics of quarantine measures in a separate paragraph. This will be done as part of the preparation of the law-in-draft for the second reading.

As for the remaining unscheduled inspections, it is necessary to establish mandatory maximum periods in the opinion of both the relevant Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, and parliamentarians. This will be clarified as part of the preparation of the law-in-draft for the second reading.
