The best in military

The solemn meeting dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was opened by Defense Minister Oleg Obruchkov. Addressing the defenders of our republic, internationalist warriors, war veterans and the armed forces, he emphasized that with their courage, dedication and indestructible strength of mind, they showed an immortal example of true patriotism and love for the Fatherland.

February 23 is a nationwide holiday in our republic. It unites all generations of Pridnestrovians.

On the day of Defender of the Fatherland, it is customary to pay tribute to all those who defended our land from invaders and who, in peacetime, have difficult military service.

The best servicemen who distinguished themselves this year have today been awarded regular military ranks, handed honorary and thanks letters. The military orchestra of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Pridnestrovie gave a gala concert.
