Limits on Soviet Deposits Payments increased

The law-in-draft with additions to the law "On the republican budget for 2021" was submitted to the Supreme Council by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and was developed in connection with the implementation of the state's obligations and guarantees for the restoration of Soviet citizens' deposits. It was decided to expand the category of recipients of compensation and include people born before 1950 inclusively, more applications for reimbursement of lost savings began to arrive due to the fact that when the budget for 2021 was adopted. More than 21.5 thousand people are entitled to receive these payments at the moment. The number of applications for payment may increase until the end of the year. The amount of 17 million 279 thousand rubles is not enough, that was budgeted for these purposes. It is necessary to allocate additional funds for this.

The funding limits for the payment of savings will be increased by 6 million rubles to meet the needs of our citizens for these payments. The Supreme Council unanimously supported the initiative of the President and adopted the law-in-draft in two readings at once.
