The Criminal Legislation Liberalization

Excluded from the Criminal Code is the provision that prescribes punishment for doing business in violation of licensing requirements and conditions. The legislative initiative was introduced by the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The reason was the results of scheduled inspections by the supervisory authority in the second half of 2020. It was found that violations of licensing requirements and conditions in the implementation of entrepreneurial activities, in connection with which criminal cases are initiated, in most cases relate to non-compliance with the requirements for staffing the licensee.

The adopted law-in-draft has been sent to the President for signature.
