Epiphany bathing in Slobozeya

Epiphany bathing took place at the central beach of Slobozeya the fifth consecutive year. One the organizers was the Supreme Council Deputy Paul Shincariuc. Rector of the church of Archangel Michael, Archpriest Andrei Danilesku celebrated a prayer service before the bathing. White doves, symbolizing the descent of the Holy Spirit from heaven were launched in the sky as a sign of peace and harmony. Local hunters shot three times in the air (at the time of the Epiphany thunder). A member of the Supreme Council for the electoral district №28 "Slobozeya" Paul Shincariuc was one of the first in the water.

There were installed wooden ramps, steps, cut a hole into which plunged all wishing at the place of the Epiphany bathing. There were tents for dressing for convenience, all the participants were treated to Epiphany bathing fragrant soup, mulled wine, sweet corn and hot tea. Physicians, employees of Slobozeya police department and rescue squad were involved for safety.

The Holiday gifted all those present a cheerful mood and light, positive emotions.
