Fiscal policy directions

The Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance recommended that the deputies' corps adopt a number of legislations defining specific areas of budget policy. The parliamentarians considered the amendments to the law “On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy” in the second reading. The legislation was drafted by the government and provides for the possibility for business entities to restructure tax and other payments to all budgets for up to five years.

Deputies during the discussion expressed their opinions on the amendment No. 3. The profile committee proposed to limit the list of business entities for which the possibility of deferment of tax payments is provided for by state and municipal enterprises.

According to the head of the responsible committee Alexander Korshunov, the procedure for paying taxes by municipal and state enterprises is part of the budget policy.

Following the discussion, the deputies by a majority vote supported the amendment. The law-in-draft was adopted in the final reading and sent to the President for signature.

The head of the profile committee, Alexander Korshunov prepared a legislative initiative to amend the law “On State Youth Policy”. As the author noted, the law-in-draft defines the procedure for financing youth election commissions. The document was supported by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission Elena Gorodetskaya. She informed parliamentarians about the implementation of the youth electoral concept.

The law-in-draft was adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading.
