Festive events dedicated to the Day of Russia are held in the republic. These are patriotic actions, thematic concerts, book exhibitions and creative competitions. The opening of the Contact Center for Rossotrudnichestvo on the basis of Pridnestrovian State University became symbolic.
The contact center will contribute to expanding the range of cooperation with the Russian Federation in the field of higher education, says Stepan Beryl, the rector of PSU. As part of the opening of the center, it was noted that it will work on the principle of a single window.
The deputy conveyed to the head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo the welcome address of the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva. It notes that “the work of the center will expand the capabilities of the university in the Russian scientific and educational space in all areas: youth exchanges, advanced training, scientific and technical cooperation.”
On the occasion of the opening of the center, Counselor of the Embassy Vladimir Malyshev handed over congratulations on behalf of Russia's Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov.
More than 220 Russian citizens live in the republic. According to the chairman of the Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie, Viorika Kokhtareva, Pridnestrovie and Russia are united by language, common traditions, history and culture.
The celebration of the Day of Russia at PSU continued with a concert at the main building of the university. Students performed patriotic songs. Volunteers held a meeting "Russian ribbon".
