Komsomol as a school of life

A solemn meeting was held in the capital's Palace of Culture in honor of the 100th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Communist Union of Youth, reports the news agency Pridnestrovie. The participants recalled the glorious and heroic history of the Komsomol. The union included more than 200 million boys and girls. Those years, they were called "the first to study, work, and even in space". Everyone certainly tried to match these qualities.

The Komsomol played an important role in the economic and cultural development of the Soviet Union, the defense of the Fatherland, the upbringing of the young generation. According to the chairman of the Komsomol-100 organizing committee, secretary of the Komsomol committee of the Tiraspol electrical equipment plant from 1971 to 1974 Viktor Kostyrko, the Komsomol light called for building new cities, building new factories and plants, protecting their homeland, often at the cost of their own lives.

Greetings to the participants of the meeting were sent by the President, the leadership of the legislative and executive authorities.

A capsule with a message to the Komsomol in 2018 from the generation of Komsomol members of the last century was solemnly opened on the eve of the anniversary. It was founded in 1978 by the participants of the Youth Festival of Friendship, held at the State Farm-College named after 60th anniversary of the Komsomol. The honorary right to open and read out the document was given to the participant of the bookmark capsule, the Director of the Agricultural and Economic College of the village of Gyska, Dmitry Ignatov. The Komsomol members of those years bequeathed to their comrades to honor and protect the title of a member of the organization, to be active fighters for peace and work, freedom, equality and happiness of all nations.
