The Supreme Council adopted in the final reading the amendments to the law "On Social Protection of People with Special Needs". They relate to the provision of social support to people with disabilities from childhood of groups I and II after reaching the age of 18. Their able-bodied but non-working parents or close relatives caring for them will receive a monthly compensation payment. It will be paid from January 1, 2023 in the amount of 100 minimum wages (this makes 970 rubles according to the current standards).
More than a thousand disabled children of groups I and II are in need of outside help today. Funds for the payment of benefits for their care will be included in the republican budget next year.
The adopted amendments to the law “On Social Protection of the People with Special Needs” have been sent for signature to the President and official publication.
