"The President's Family for a Healthy Lifestyle" traditional regatta will be held at the Tiraspol rowing base on June 6 and 7. Teams of state authorities and administration bodies, various organizations and associations, and young people will row in dragon-class boats. "The Supreme Dragon" parliamentary team will take part in the regatta. The team includes the captain of the team, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, deputy Pavel Shinkaruk and employees of the Parliamentary Staff.
The upcoming competition will be the third for the current team, behind them is participation in last year's presidential regatta, as well as the fight for the "Golden Dragon Cup" in Bendery, where the "supreme" won bronze. The parliament representatives trained all year, in rain and cold. The training became more frequent and intense before the new start, but without compromising the legislative work.
The teams will participate in the presidential regatta in 4 groups: law enforcement agencies, state and local government bodies, various organizations, students in different age categories and women's teams. The team must have at least 8 people, and in a mixed crew – at least 4 women. All participants will cover the same distance on the river – 350 meters.
The women's team of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic competed last year in Rybnitsa together with participants from KommunalDorService and won first place. The girls from the parliamentary team are always ahead in the boat unlike other participants in the regatta. They set the rhythm and technique throughout the entire distance.
Deputy Pavel Shinkaryuk will participate in "The President's Family for Healthy Lifestyle" regatta for the second time and aims to show a decent result with the team.
The Supreme Council team will compete in Group B together with amateur rowers from civil bodies of state power and local self-government. The opponent with whom the pair race will take place will be determined by drawing lots. So far, "The Supreme Dragon" has only submitted applications for participation and continues to work on synchronicity.
