At the end of the visit to Pridnestrovie, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the public civil-patriotic movement Nikolai Zemtsov, accompanied by Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, head of the parliamentary committee On Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy Igor Buga visited the Kitskany bridgehead where he laid flowers to the obelisk, paying tribute to the memory of the common heroic past of our peoples.

Alla Melnychuk, the director of the Tiraspol United Museum, conducted a historical excursion and told the Russian guest about the events of the liberation 1944, about the role played by the height near the village of Kitskany in one of the legendary military advance of the Soviet army, as a result of which the invaders were driven from the Moldovan land. Further Soviet troops advanced deep into Europe - Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary.

The Iasi-Kishinev operation began from the Kitskany bridgehead. The researchers named it one of the most effective in the history of the second world.

Nicholas Zemtsov at the bridgehead was shown a panorama: Bendery, Tiraspol, urban suburbs. From this high point the Pridnestrovian land is on the palm of your hand. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba draws the attention of the Russian visitor to the east - on the horizon of the pipe of Moldavskaya GRES. The conversation returns to the present.

The visit of the Russian parliamentarian was one-day, but it was rich and fruitful: an excursion to the military historical memorial complex and the Bendery fortress, a meeting with President Vadim Krasnoselsky, deputies of the Supreme Council and representatives of the public, signing an agreement on cooperation with the Pridnestrovian People's Forum, Public movement "The Immortal Regiment" in Tiraspol.

Nikolay Zemtsov plans to visit our republic once again, to take part in the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation in Pridnestrovie.
