Kitskany is 650. It is the oldest and, perhaps, one of the most beautiful villages of Pridnestrovie. One of them is about people whose names are named streets of Kitskany. There are five of them.
One of the streets of the village is named after Elena Tchaikovsky, the first national teacher of the MSSR. She is a hereditary teacher. In difficult postwar years, she gathered children in all the surrounding villages who were left without relatives, and replaced them with her own mother, she taught and brought them up in a rural children's home.
