The city had a birthday, and its residents received gifts. The Carousel Yard appeared in the Alexander Nevsky Park on the territory of the Bendery Fortress today, on the 7th of October. It is named so for a reason: there are indeed several types of carousels at once. Calm horses with multi-colored manes and carriages for princesses are for very young children. There are faster carousels that literally soar into the sky for those who are older and bolder, the Flying Ship attraction, which the older generation habitually calls boats, and cars, of course.
Fairy-tale characters invited guests to the grand opening of the Carousel Yard. Here are the usual Emelya riding on the stove, and Masha with the Bear, and Maleficent, and many other familiar and long-loved and well-known heroes of magical stories.
The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife and youngest daughter, speaker Alexander Korshunov, Head of the Bendery state administration Roman Ivanchenko and city council deputies were among the guests of honor at the opening. The Carousel Yard was built and equipment was purchased for it with funds from the program of the Capital Investment Fund.
Parents started buying tickets for brand new carousels even before the official opening. They decided to make their cost low so that everyone could ride the rides. The carousels made their first round to the accompaniment of the pirate orchestra after the Tinker Bell fairy, along with Wendy and Peter Pan almost lost the key to the happy island of eternal childhood. Even the speaker of parliament and the city leadership drove the racing cars.
The city authorities invited children from the orphanage to the opening of the Carousel Yard. They were among the first to ride the Flying Ship and carousels.
There was an alley of fairy tales, a gameland, a cheerful steam locomotive, and themed photo zones for all guests in the Alexander Nevsky Park.
