Deputies of the Supreme Council held meetings with representatives of local authorities in all regions of the republic in order to learn firsthand about problems on the ground, during the year. The aim of the dialogue is to establish cooperation for making joint verified decisions. The present meeting took place in Kamenka. Parliamentarians Petr Pasat and Valery Babchinetsky came to discuss the social and economic situation in the northern region of Pridnestrovie. The head of the Kamenka district state administration and the city of Kamenka, Vladimir Bychkov, informed the legislators about how Kamenka district lives today.
The head of the local state administration drew the attention of parliamentarians to the "painful points" of the district. The main industrial enterprise, "Tinned Plant" in Kamenka, needs state support in the implementation of effective logistics, finding markets for the sale of products. Agrarians need cheap loans for the development of farms. The issues of water supply and road construction remain topical for the villagers.
Valery Babchinetsky, representing the interests of residents of Kamenka in the Supreme Council, emphasized that all the voiced recently issues were discussed at a meeting with the President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Parliamentarian Petr Pasat informed representatives of local authorities of the joint work being carried out by the Supreme Council and the Government. According to him, 2017 was the year of stabilization of the situation in the republic. The highest authorities managed to implement anti-crisis measures, provide support to entrepreneurs and state enterprises, and establish currency regulation.
Residents of Kamenka raised questions to parliamentarians concerning Russian pensions and maternity capital. Peter Pasat explained that these issues are in the process of solution at the level of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. As for solving the problems inside the republic, legislators are ready to listen and support the proposals of local authorities.
The Supreme Council plans to further develop cooperation with local authorities, making such meetings regular.
