The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov continues to meet with leaders of cities and regions of the republic. Today, the head of the legislature arrived in the very north of Pridnestrovie and took part in the session of the Council of People's Deputies of Kamenka District and Kamenka. Valery Babchinetsky, representing the interests of the Kamenians in the Parliament presented at the meeting.
The head of state administration Vladimir Bychkov announced the main vital signs of the district, which is the smallest in terms of the number of inhabitants. Totally there are 19181 people living there. For the year, 174 children were born, boys and girls equally. The problem that is characteristic of each region of the republic is that the death rate exceeded the birth rate 2.2 times. The number of divorces still exceeds the number of marriages. Although there is a positive trend: thanks to the decision to provide psychological assistance in the registry office, there are fewer divorces than last year. The relevant legislation was adopted by the Supreme Council last year.
Vladimir Bychkov, who was Deputy of the Supreme Council of the 5th convocation, spoke about the positive changes in the socio-economic sphere. There was an increase in tax revenues. Salaries, pensions, social benefits were paid on time. Thanks to the decision to form a special reserve, teachers were able to get vacation pay on time.
Totally, 166 enterprises operate in the region. The first line in the top taxpayers is a branch of KVINT. Local municipal unitary enterprisesworked in the plus. The pride of the district, the cannery, has increased its output by 3.5 times compared to 2017. At the same time, it was possible to modernize production, to resolve the issue with the sale of products in the domestic market. We purchased modern equipment, renovated furniture, and improved the territory in the sanatorium "Dniester". Last year, 8373 people improved their health here, which is 43% more than in 2017.
We paid attention to the development of infrastructure. Thanks to the implementation of the program of capital investments in the area, 9 educational facilities were repaired. The modernization also affected the healthcare industry: an X-ray unit and an electrocardiography appeared in the region. Work was carried out on the reconstruction of water and heat supply networks, street lighting, gasification of the area. Investment programs were also implemented by local enterprises.
As for the agro-industrial complex, the main focus of agricultural production was the cultivation of grain, industrial and fruit and vegetable crops, to a lesser extent in the area developed animal husbandry.
Summing up the work of the session, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov positively assessed the activities of local authorities in the development of the district and the city.
On March 24, Kamenka will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the liberation from the Nazi invaders. On the eve of the memorial, the head of the legislature of the republic visited the local memorial of military glory. In memory of the fallen defenders of the Motherland, fresh flowers lay at the monument.
