What will be the charge for irrigation without water meters?

Fee for watering gardens for citizens in case of water meters absence must be reduced. Deputies spoke on this issue in frameworks of consideration of the law-in-draft on amendments to the Law "On Drinking Water Supply".

The current tariff for watering the garden in absence of a water meter, according to deputies of the profile committee on State Regional Policy was overestimated and not justified. Its calculation using the established standard regulations are 10 liters per 1 sq.m. Voters complained of too heavy for them tariff who have plots of land, but there is no water meters. They note: the amount of payment in the irrigation season "accumulates" ammount from 5 to 12 thousand rubles. There are citizens with debts to the water-supply company.

The law-in-draft proposed to develop a mechanism for calculation of water consumption for irrigation by establishing a correction coefficient and far away from the established norm unreasonably. In support of the stated suggestions is the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Efimy Koval. He noted that, as a legislator, he had not once initiated the consideration of this issue, guided by his deputy inquiry, but the problem still remains unsolved. Stating that it is necessary to solve, parliamentarians and government representatives agreed: the question should be regulated at the level of executive bodies with the participation of legislators.
