How tourism will develop in Pridnestrovie – this was discussed at the plenary session by the deputies of the Supreme Council. As part of the implementation of the state target program to support and develop tourism for 2019–2026, a new law “On tourism in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was developed. It is intended to replace the current law of 2002 "On the basics of tourism activities in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic". The new law-in-draft was presented to the deputies by the director of the State Institution “Tourism Agency of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”. Anna Mikolishina noted that the law was set out taking into account the fulfillment of the tasks that are currently facing the tourism sector.
The conceptual apparatus of the industry has been updated, norms will be prescribed obliging certification for tour guides, guides-translators and instructors-guides in the new law. This will increase the level of quality of service for tourists and will positively affect the image of the republic. A unified republican register of tourism will be created. This is an information system that will contain a data bank on all organizations working in the field of tourism. Therefore, tour operators and travel agents will be able to carry out activities only after registration in a single register.
Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic adopted in the first reading a new law "On tourism in the PMR" at the plenary session today. Work on the law-in-draft will continue in the second reading.
