The deputy corps voted in favor of the recall of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba by adopting relevant resolution.

According to the constitutional norms and provisions of the Regulations of the Supreme Council, a group of deputies of 36 people prepared a collective appeal on the recall of the head of the legislature. Current legislation provides that the Chairman of the Supreme Council may be recalled from office by secret ballot. The procedure was organized during the plenary session by members of the Counting Commission. The ballot papers for secret voting were received by 36 elected representatives of the people participating in the plenary session.

The results were announced from the parliamentary rostrum. 33 parliamentarians voted for the speaker’s recall, and 3 against. The results of the vote were reflected in the adopted resolution of the Supreme Council. The document came into force from the moment of its adoption.
