For the 100th Anniversary of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

More than 100 unique historical documents and photographs about the Soviet period of cities and villages of Pridnestrovie are collected in an unusual exhibition of the state archive. You can watch it only on the site – in a virtual format. The Head of the State Service for Documentation and Archives Management Zinaida Todorashko told and showed today at the conference on the 100th anniversary of the USSR where and how you can watch it.

The scientific and educational conference "Soviet Heritage in the System of Spiritual and Cultural Values", held today in Tiraspol as part of the traditional XII historical readings, is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy, Health, Labor, Family and Childhood Ilona Tyuryaeva took part in the conference. She emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and read out the appeal of the Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament to the conference participants.

The main goal of the project is to study the heritage and memory of the Soviet past, to prevent the falsification of history. They said at the conference: its participants collected documentary evidence from personal and family archives and museums (schools, enterprises and organizations), recorded the memories of Pridnestrovians about the Soviet past. All these materials will be sent to the Central State Archive for permanent storage, they will also be introduced into scientific circulation and will be presented in various projects.

The results of the XII Republican creative competition of historical essays among students "My Soviet Past" were summed up after the official part of the conference.
