Study and protection of Pridnestrovian subsoil

Providing protection of subsoil, monitoring the state of geological environment, replenishing the resource base – these are the main directions that are enshrined in the state program of geological study, protection of subsoil and reproduction of the mineral resource base of the PMR. The document was adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading. Pridnestrovian geologists will continue to study groundwater, predict landslides, as well as prospect and exploration for sand and gravel rocks in the next four years.

According to experts, it is impossible to plan, for example, work on water supply to the population without understanding the state of natural resources and the geological environment. These questions are now becoming the most urgent. Information on the results of such studies is actively used, including in these works.

The Agro-Industrial Complex Committee will finalize the program taking into account all comments and suggestions and submit it for consideration by the Supreme Council in the final reading.
