Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic today in two readings adopted amendments to the law "On currency regulation and currency control". The need to develop law-in-raft arose in connection with the situation in the foreign economic activity of enterprises and entrepreneurs. The day before, the author of the legislative initiative, parliamentarian Yuri Kucherenko, explained in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance that the initiative is associated with changes in logistics, complications in payment schemes and the fulfillment of contractual obligations that the economic agents of Pridnestrovie faced in 2022. New circumstances in foreign trade often do not allow economic agents to comply with all the norms of the law on currency regulation. The Head of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie Yuri Cheban spoke in support of the law-in-raft. He noted that industrialists and entrepreneurs are waiting for the adoption of these changes.
The norms adopted today in two readings will enable entrepreneurs, peasant farms and enterprises to fulfill their obligations to the state in accordance with the law.
In addition, the period from 30 to 60 calendar days during which resident legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and peasant (farm) enterprises are required to ensure the import of goods for import operations, pay for transport services in cash or return it to their accounts in Pridnestrovian banks.
