Parliamentarians began work on amendments and additions to the state program for the development of agro-industrial complex of Pridnestrovie for 2019-2026. It is planned to change some of its aspects related to indicators of forecasts of farm animals and livestock products as well as sources of funding.
As for the indicators of the forecast of the livestock of farm animals and livestock products, a stable increase in milk volume indicators is recorded in the republic currently. This is despite the general trend of reducing the number of livestock in private farms. For example, if at the beginning of 2018 the number of cattle in the population was almost 10 thousand heads, then this figure was a little more than 8 thousand by 2022. This is due to the fact that in recent years, with the support of the state in the form of subsidies, large farms of the republic have purchased pedigree cattle with high milk productivity, among other things. According to the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Diligul, these changes should be reflected in the targeted program. As part of the state support for the dairy farming industry, starting this year, it is planned to provide subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of acquiring pedigree dairy cattle on the domestic market in the amount of 1 million rubles annually, until 2026. This direction of financing is also proposed to be reflected in the new version of the state program.
Changes in the conditions for the production of chicken eggs allowed a farmer in the Dubossary district to purchase 25000 day old egg chicks in 2022. The farm has special equipment for keeping laying hens in industrial volumes. It is planned that this year the volume of production of chicken eggs will increase markedly, largely due to this.
Another change that the Government of the PMR proposes to make to the state target program for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Pridnestrovie is the sources of funding. The funds were transferred from the republican budget, the Capital Investment Fund and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund in 2019-2020. Funding for the activities of the Program is provided from the Agricultural Support Fund from 2021.
The law-in-draft was adopted in the first reading. Work on it will continue.
