The deputies considered amendments to the PMR Housing Code at the plenary session in the second non-final reading today. The authors of the legislative initiative were a group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation of the Supreme Council. The law-in-draft aims to protect the rights of children who live with parents or guardians in public housing under a commercial or social tenancy agreement.
The child as a legal member of the tenant's family remains there to date in cases if a social housing tenant dies, but only under adult supervision. However, the consent of the landlord is required in order to install a single parent, guardian or custodian with a minor.
Similar measures will apply to public housing for commercial rent, according to the authors of the law-in-draft.
The deputies recommended it for consideration in the third reading after discussing the law-in-draft. This is due to the need to make appropriate changes and additions to the Civil Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
