Changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses

07.07.2021

Drivers will not pay a fine for a forced collision on traffic lane markings on the roads. The deputies adopted amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses in the course of the plenary session today. The initiative was developed by a group of parliamentarians based on appeals from drivers who consider it illegal to pay a fine for this type of violation when it is necessary to go around obstacles on the road. This could be caused by holes, parked cars, accidents or repairs. Offenses are recorded by cameras of the Safe City system and motorists have to pay a fine of 540 rubles.

The amendments to the Administrative Code are intended to relieve tension in the driving community according to the deputies.

There are changes regarding the availability of documents required when driving or registration documents for a vehicle in addition. If the driver, for good reason, does not have documents close at hand, then the traffic militia officers will not fine, but issue warnings.

This kind of legislative indulgence does not cancel the requirement of the Road Traffic Regulations to have the documents necessary when driving a car according to the parliamentarian. If such a situation arises, then the drivers will be warned about the offense, and the motorist will be able to continue the movement.

The adopted amendments to the norms of the Code of Administrative Offenses were sent for signature to the President.
