Administrative responsibility may be introduced for stopping cars closer than one meter from stairs, entrances and ramps in Pridnestrovie. Changes and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses were initiated by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Today the deputies of the Supreme Council adopted the law-in-draft in the first reading. Drivers will be issued a warning or a fine of up to 10 minimum wage for this type of offense, according to official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The ban on stopping closer than one meter from stairs, entrances, ramps is enshrined in the road rules. Exceptions apply for disabled drivers of groups I and II and for those who transport people or children with special needs. Drivers can stop when boarding and disembarking passengers, or to load or unload luggage.
The deputies of the Supreme Council supported the legislative initiative proposed by the President that appeared due to non-compliance by some drivers with the rules of stopping near ramps and entrances and is designed to improve the culture of driving a car.
As noted at the plenary session, the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens will continue to work on the law-in-draft. All comments and proposals will be made in the form of amendments for the second reading.
