Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee Oleg Vasilaty informed his colleagues that yesterday at the committee meeting the main issue, discussion of which lasted 6 hours, were amendments to the law "On the republican budget for 2020". Changes to the main financial document had to be made in connection with a decrease in the budget revenue. In particular, this was due to the high costs of a set of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

Questions about the financing of the Investment Agency and the use of funds from the mutual fund remained unresolved. In addition, the committee rejected the government's amendment to cut funding for the agro-industrial complex. This is a program to restore the reclamation industry.
Yesterday the Government received an amendment from the government to change the timing of submission to the Supreme Council of the law-in-draft on the budget for next year. The Government proposed to postpone this date to November 1. The amendment was rejected by the committee.
