Changing norms in the field of migration and registration

Pridnestrovians or foreign citizens will not need to submit an application and documents for re-registration in case of change of address of residence (place of stay). Registration and migration authorities will carry out this procedure themselves and inform citizens about deregistration and registration at a new place of residence (place of stay). This is the purpose of introducing changes to legislation proposed by the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky initiated the changes based on requests received after the street was renamed from October 25 to Pokrovskaya.

It is proposed to amend the laws “On migration registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the PMR” and “On the right of PMR citizens to freedom of movement, choice of place of stay and residence within the PMR”. The legislations were discussed at a plenary meeting of the Supreme Council. The draft laws were presented to the deputies by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Radion Chebotar.

Deputies of the Supreme Council supported the President's initiative in the first reading. The relevant committee on legislation will continue to work on legislations for adoption in the second reading.
