Part-time workers will be able to go on vacation regardless of the vacation schedule at their main place of work. The legislative initiative, the authors of which are deputies Alexander Korshunov and Sergei Cheban, was discussed by parliamentarians in the first reading in the course of the plenary meeting. Amendments and additions are proposed to be made to the Labor Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The reason for the development of the law-in-draft was the appeal of citizens.
The legislative initiative is designed to eliminate gaps in current labor legislation. There are cases in practice, when the vacation is divided into parts at the main job or some part of the vacation is not used and is subsequently compensated. The law did not stipulate what an employer should do in the situations described in a part-time job.
There are also rules in the Russian Federation that prohibit employers from forcibly sending part-time workers on leave simultaneously with their leave at their main place of work, according to the parliamentarian. It is spelled out in the instructional and methodological materials of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment there. It was proposed in Pridnestrovian to enshrine such rules at the legal level.
Amendments and additions to labor legislation introduced to the Supreme Council by deputies Alexander Korshunov and Sergei Cheban were unanimously supported by parliamentarians in the course of the plenary meeting. Work on the law-in-draft will continue in the second reading. If the law-in-draft is adopted in the final reading, the new norms will come into force immediately after signing by the President and official publication.
