Last year, the State Customs Committee contributions to the republican budget exceeded the planned 13%. The state treasury received 824 million rubles in the form of customs payments. This is 45% of the revenue of the budget. Such figures were voiced in report by the Chairman of the PMR State Customs Committee Vitaly Nyagu. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Deputies Oleg Vasilaty and Victor Guzun, heads of ministries and departments took part in the work of the board.

Among the achievements of the customs authorities is the improvement of the regulatory framework. The amendments to the laws made it possible for enterprises to declare goods in a simplified manner and in electronic form. Last year, special attention was paid to eliminating administrative barriers and simplifying customs procedures.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the biggest burden on the unrecognition of our state is borne by economic entities. Public authorities should be one step ahead of neighboring states in order to interest entrepreneurs and improve their situation.

The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov gave his assessment of the activities of customs authorities over the past year.

Of course, there is still something to work on, there are long-term plans, there is much to strive for in terms of increasing technical preparedness and electronic declaration. But, according to Alexander Korshunov, it can be stated that the State Customs Committee today complies with all international standards, and is developing dynamically and quickly.
