Voters and people's deputies are interested

10.04.2019

According to the law on the Regulations of the Supreme Council, the government sends an annual report to deputies on the results of its work over the past year. Deputies of the Supreme Council on the eve of the report are also given the right to ask the members of the highest executive body of interest questions and get answers to voters. It was decided on April 9 in the course of the meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme Council to forward the list of deputy issues to the Government. It was formed by the Commission on mandates, regulations and deputy ethics. Traditionally, there are many questions from lawmakers. This year there are more than 90 of them.

Some of them are commented by the head of the parliamentary commission on mandates, regulations, and deputy ethics, Grigory Dyachenko:

“Voters are also concerned about the issues that affect a variety of areas of life. For example, the question was asked: what are the reasons for the fact that some enterprises are closed, they do not work. What does the Government plan to undertake in this connection? People’s deputies and voters are interested in how many new jobs were created in 2018, including in places of deprivation of liberty, what was done for the social adaptation of people who were released from prison.

Deputies are also concerned about why citizens, when they get to the hospital are forced to purchase medicines at their own expense, while the state allocates quite substantial amounts for their purchase? This is a very serious question, it bothers people.

There was law-in-draft that provided for the development and adoption of construction program, reconstruction and repair of water supply system, but it was withdrawn by the Government. Deputies are confident that such a program should be. What is the government planning to do in the future?

Deputies ask about the implementation of the state privatization program. The Supreme Council approved the list of small-scale privatization objects, but as it turned out, only an insignificant part of these objects was privatized. Why is this happening? There are many questions, they are asked by our voters. The parliamentarians are confident that the Government will provide a written answer to all received questions”.
