3799 criminal cases were worked out in 2021 by investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Presenting the report on the results of work in 2021, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Vyacheslav Brynzar reported on this to the PMR President. According to him, 517 cases have been closed, which is the lowest figure in 9 years. 3% more criminal cases were sent to court than a year earlier. All these figures indicate an increase in the quality of the investigation, the head of the PMR Investigative Committee emphasized. The Investigative Committee holds joint meetings with the PMR Prosecutor's Office to improve the indicators.
Vyacheslav Brynzar noted that the well-equipped forensic laboratory is of great help to investigators in their work. More than 100 different examinations conducted last year, which helped in solving cases.
The Investigative Committee of the PMR pays special attention to the disclosure of economic crimes. More than 70 crimes in the field of corruption were investigated last year, half of them have already been sent to the courts.
The Head of the Investigative Committee called the departments of Kamenka, Tiraspol and Rybnitsa the best in terms of disclosure according to the results of 2021.
Prosecutor of the PMR Anatoly Guretsky expressed his comments and suggestions on the work of the Investigative Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recognized the work of the Investigative Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2021 as satisfactory. The President called the committee an important segment of the structure of the republic's law enforcement agencies and thanked the personnel of the Investigative Committee for their service.
