The State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic summed up the results of its work for 2024. The head of the department, Maria Kyrmyz presented a detailed report, which reflected statistical data, key events and significant projects of the year. The main emphasis last year was on the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage and the development of the cultural life of Pridnestrovie.
6 state and 299 municipal cultural institutions are successfully operating in Pridnestrovie, which have become centers of attraction for residents and guests of the republic. More than 29.5 thousand events were organized, attended by almost 1.6 million people during the year. special attention was paid to socially significant projects at the republican and local levels in 2024. Among them there was a series of more than 300 events dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as the International Arts Festival "Martisor-2024", which brought together 200 diverse programs. As part of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, 830 thematic events were held, and the Year of Family Values was marked by more than 1000 events that attracted over 156 thousand spectators. A significant contribution was made to the preservation of cultural heritage. The Unified State Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage Objects was replenished with 63 new historical monuments identified during the historical and cultural examination in 2024. There are 2278 sites under state protection, including memorials to the glory of soldiers and officers who died during the Great Patriotic War, and monuments to the defenders of Pridnestrovie today. Repair and restoration work has been carried out at 69 sites in the cities and districts of the republic, for which about 15 million rubles have been allocated from various sources.
Declared the Year of the Pridnestrovian People and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 35th anniversary of the republic, the State Service for Culture has outlined new priorities in anticipation of 2025. Among them there are the involvement of young people in cultural life, the development of domestic cultural tourism and the strengthening of patriotic values. The active participation of Pridnestrovians in preserving heritage and supporting cultural initiatives is intended not only to increase interest in history, but also to strengthen the position of Pridnestrovie as an attractive cultural center in the international arena.
