The end of the year is the time to take stock, remember the path taken and outline plans for the future. This is what was decided in constituency No. 2 "Memorial" in Bendery. Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the constituency Yuri Kucherenko told how the program of voters' orders worked during the year and what problems in the district still need to be solved.
A modern mini-football field recently appeared near Kindergarten No. 2 "Rosinka" of Bendery. The arrangement of the sports attraction zone began last year at the numerous requests of residents of nearby high-rise buildings. A football ground surrounded by a modern rubberized surface was put into operation this year.
Large-scale construction of a park began in the courtyard of multi-story buildings in Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya Street in 2024. Residents of Bendery and frequent visitors to the city know this area as the Pentagon. A modern recreation area for Bender residents of all ages will soon appear there instead of the old basketball court.
A project was developed and approved and paving was completed this year. The remaining work will continue next year, as soon as weather conditions permit.
It is important not only to build new recreation areas, but also to preserve them. There are problems with this, noted the deputy for the district Yuriy Kucherenko. One of many examples is the "Shkolny" park of Bendery. It was ceremonially opened relatively recently – in 2020. Construction was carried out at the expense of the deputy program of voters' orders and the city program of the environmental fund.
A quiet walking area with a children's playground appeared initially on the site of a former abandoned wasteland. Basketball, volleyball and mini-football courts were built nearby over time. The new recreation area became popular with residents of Bendery. However, it was not spared from the problem of vandalism.
The deputy noted that constant repairs of such facilities require additional financial costs and prompt response from the balance holders.
The deputy's reception office is actively formulating currently a program of voters' instructions for the next year, 2025. Most often, residents of the constituency No. 2 turn to their deputy with requests to pave sidewalks and install benches, as well as to equip sports and children's play areas in residential areas of Bendery.
