Results of a ten-year way

A round table was held in the library of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Tiraspol on the theme "Preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Pridnestrovie: the experience of public organizations". The chairman of the parliamentary committee for education, science and culture Mikhail Burla, his colleague Ilona Tyuryaeva, representatives of departments, more than two dozen public organizations dealing with issues of historical and cultural heritage are among the participants. The Center for the Study of the Cultural, Historical and Spiritual Heritage of Pridnestrovie was the organizer of the round table. The roundtable was held as part of the celebration of the World Heritage Day and the 10th anniversary of the center's foundation.

The meeting was opened by its director, the chairman of the expert-advisory council on culture under the profile committee of the Supreme Council Nikolai Dymchenko. He spoke about the activities of the center, about the installation of 14 commemorative plates that perpetuated the significant events and outstanding figures of Pridnestrovie, as well as about the annual scientific almanac "Pridnestrovian heritage" published by the center. Electronic versions of 10 of its issues were presented within the framework of the round table.

Nikolai Dymchenko focused on fruitful cooperation of the center with the legislature of the republic and the Tiraspol-Dubossary eparchy.

The chairman of the parliamentary committee, Mikhail Burla, informed the participants of the roundtable about the legislative initiatives currently under consideration for the preservation of the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the republic.

At the end of the speech, Mikhail Burla presented the letters of thanks of Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba to the active assistants of the Center for the Study of the Cultural, Historical and Spiritual Heritage of Pridnestrovie Sergey Podryadiv and Lyudmila Alferyeva. The letters mentioned their contribution to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of Pridnestrovie, active participation in the upbringing of a careful attitude to the objects of cultural and historical heritage in the younger generation, preservation and development of culture in our republic.
