Parliamentarians Oleg Vasilaty and Alexander Korshunov awarded young Pridnestrovians, distinguished at the II International Competition "The Great and righteous path to victory". This intellectual contest of connoisseurs of Russian history was oriented for foreign students. The range of issues is limited each year by a given topic. This time it was the Second World War. The first round of the competition was held in absentia. Participation in it is a form of self-education. Children can enjoy the necessary literature, sources of information on the Internet, using parents and teachers. Having successfully passed this stage the students are invited to the second round. Participation in it resembles the classic two-hour exam, which shall be in writing. It is held in Rybnitsa for Pridnestrovians. 27 students answered competitive questions representing the three largest cities of the republic. The youngest participant - fifth grader Vladislav Danilchuk from Tiraspol - told that he needed not only knowledge acquired outside educational process (in school Russian history is studied in high school, fifth grade level only assumes knowledge of history of the ancient world), but father's advice - to focus and not to worry. Vlad has not become the winner, but he has more than one contest in perspective. Irina Maslova 10 Grade pupil of Humanities and mathematical gymnasium received one of the diplomas of the winner of the regional tour.
As it was planned by the organizers - the International Council of Russian Compatriots - the competition that help foreign pupils to better understand the history of the Great Patriotic War, to learn the truth about the feat of winning of the people, to touch the heroic events of the war years.
Super finals of the II international competition "Great and righteous path to victory" will be held in Russia.
