Photo exposition on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovie was opened in the Parliament building. It reflects the history of the seven convocations of the Pridnestrovian parliament and the history of the development of Pridnestrovie.
The photographs show the deputies who stood at the origins of the creation of our republic. The exposition separately presents the years 1989-1990. This is the time of rallies and strikes of residents of the left-bank regions of the MSSR, who oppose the adoption of discriminatory laws on languages, the period of referendums on the formation of the Autonomous Pridnestrovian SSR as part of the Moldavian SSR, and the holding of the fateful I and II extraordinary congresses of deputies of all levels.
The first convocation counts from November 29, 1990, when the first session of deputies elected to the Supreme Council of the PMSSR took place. The period from 1990 to 1995 touches upon a tragic time for our republic – the arrest of Pridnestrovian deputies by the Chisinau authorities in 1991 and the armed conflict of 1992, which was stopped by Russian peacekeepers.
From the second to the seventh convocation, photographs are presented from the plenary sessions of the Supreme Council, working meetings, official visits to Moscow, meetings with colleagues in the State Duma, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, from the parliaments of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. These are meetings of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies and the Youth Parliament. Photographs reflect thematic events of our republic in addition to official meetings: Victory Day, Republic Day, contests "Person of the Year" and "Pridnestrovian Quality".
The archives of the first deputies of the Supreme Council – of Anna Volkova and Vyacheslav Zagryadsky – were used in the preparation of the photo exhibition. Photographs by photographers Valery Kruglikov and Lemar Korzilov, as well as photographs of the press service of the Supreme Council, who worked in the parliament in different years, are presented. The exhibition consists of 123 photographs.
