Today it was crowded at the Tiraspol city stadium. It hosts the First Republican Open Martial Arts Festival.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov took part in the grand opening of the festival.

Chairman of the jury of the festival, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of PSU, Honored Worker of Education, Ph.D., Professor Vasily Gutsu opened the event.

The martial arts festival is not a sporting event where you need to defeat an opponent. This is a celebration and demonstrations that aim to popularize martial arts, attract spectators, especially the youngest, so that their interest develops into a serious passion for sports. The aim of the festival is to develop sports, improve the training process and increase the level of physical fitness of those involved in martial arts and martial arts. Also, the objectives of the martial arts festival include raising the level of physical culture, creating a healthy lifestyle for the young generation, and strengthening friendly and sporting ties. The program of the event includes demonstrations, open competitions in certain types and areas, master classes.

Soldiers of hand-to-hand combat, possession of weapons and shock equipment demonstrated to spectators the servicemen of the Krasnaya Zvezda sports club of the Operative Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie, the fighters of the special Dniester rapid response detachment of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Scorpion special forces, soldiers of a separate special detachment appointments of the PMR Ministry of Defense, cadets of the Tiraspol Law Institute, students of the Republican Cadet Corps, cadets of the Military Institute and Tiraspol Suvorov Military School, as well as representatives of republican sports clubs.

Demonstration performances consisted in demonstrating techniques, skills, physical and moral-volitional qualities that reflect the characteristics of the presented types and styles of martial arts, as well as the specifics of the training methodology for fighters. As part of the speeches, technical complexes and ligaments with weapons, improvised objects and without them, breaking objects, throwing to hit the target were demonstrated.
