The Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov became a guest of the “Special Talk” program on the First Pridnestrovian TV channel. The speaker in an interview spoke in particular about the work of parliament. According to Alexander Korshunov the Supreme Council is the base platform for discussions, making the right management decisions.

“Deputies are different in area of competence, knowledge in a particular area. It's good. Each, based on their experience, makes a certain decision. If the deputies persuaded their colleagues to make this or that decision, then it is most true,” the speaker said.

The conversation was about the state’s development strategy for the next eight years. This document, according to Alexander Korshunov outlines targets for all state authorities. The Chairman of the Supreme Council focused on the need to improve the legal framework of the republic.

“There are certain gaps in tax legislation, strategic planning in terms of the legal framework, in the housing and utilities sector, education and health care. We need to work and move forward on solving these tasks,” said Alexander Korshunov.

On the question of how you see the economy today and tomorrow, the Chairman of the Supreme Council answered that it should be innovative, since the development of an economy without financial resources is impossible.

“Therefore, serious attention should be paid to supporting innovation. Last year, the Supreme Council passed an appropriate law. I think, thanks to such management decisions, we will be able to reach a higher level, due to which we will be able to solve most of the budget problems,” the head of the legislative body emphasized.

The topic of migration was mentioned in the conversation. As noted by Alexander Korshunov, over the past two years, the dynamics of young people leaving Pridnestrovie has decreased. According to the speaker, the work in this direction should be continued.

“The paths are different. This is landscaping, the creation of a state program to support young professionals, including the purchase of apartments for orphans. It is important that the young man provided with work and housing, then he will remain and will develop already in Pridnestrovie,” the speaker noted.

At the end of the interview, the Chairman of the Supreme Council outlined a number of priorities. The main thing, according to Alexander Korshunov is to realize the tasks set in the Strategy and improve the lives of citizens.

“I want Pridnestrovie to become an independent, self-sufficient, very strong state. This requires consolidation, the efforts of all, including public organizations, civil society, local self-government, not to mention the bodies of state power and administration,” the speaker concluded.
