The Interest in Pridnestrovie

The Regular international meeting was held at the parliamentary site. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council, the head of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and international relations Galina Antyufeeva received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova James D. Pettit. As you know, the United States are observers in the negotiation process in the "5 + 2" between Moldova and Pridnestrovie.

Important and current issues of interest to the citizens of Pridnestrovie were raised in the course of the introductory meeting.

The theme of possible resumption of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova was touched. In this context, Galina Antyufeeva marked the position of the Supreme Council, which is in the presence of a specific potentials of such cooperation, but only in parallel with the stable and efficient operation of the "5 + 2" negotiation format.
