The Initiatives of the President

The President is one of the most active member of the legislative right. The deputies of the Supreme Council during the current plenary session considered a number of legislative initiatives of Vadim Krasnoselsky, and after the discussion they voted in favor of them. Two of them he submitted to the parliament in the mode of legislative necessity. The first one concerned the possibility of obtaining personal data for persons who receive charitable assistance in the process of implementing charitable social projects, the second - the empowerment of the Government to develop a provision on the principles of duty-free trade in the territory of Pridnestrovie. As suggested by the representative of the legislative initiative of the President, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Alexei Lipovtsev, the work of duty-free will allow to receive additional funds to the budget - approximately $ 4 million per year.

Under the current Constitution, the President of PMR is the commander-in-chief. At today's plenary meeting, the people's representatives have brought certain provisions of the current legislation into line with the Basic Law. They fixed the right of the head of state to award higher military ranks - from lieutenant-general to colonel-general - to servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, internal troops, the Investigative Committee.

During the electoral campaign for the election of the President of PMR, Vadim Krasnoselsky promised to make military service attractive in one of the points of the pre-election program. This intention is realized, including, at the legislative level. The law-in-draft, initiated by the President, provides for the creation of conditions for military servicemen who are on military service after the end of the first academic year in state organizations of higher professional education to receive education in correspondence and full-time, except for two faculties - medical and engineering. On the one hand, the legislative initiative, supported by the deputy corps, ensures observance of the principle of state policy in the sphere of higher professional education on the continuity of education, on the other it increases the prestige and attractiveness of service in the armed forces of the republic. In accordance with the norms of the parliamentarians, military personnel will be given study leave for the period of passing the interim attestation (winter session).
