The Imperative Norm

29.03.2017

People's Deputy of residents of Bendery Oleg Petrik initiated the adoption of amendments to the law "On the status of Deputy of the Supreme Council of PMR". This document defines the status and regulates the activities of parliamentarians. The reason for introducing amendments and addendum to the current version of the law was the practical implementation of its norms.

It should be noted that the mandatory rule on the obligation of local executive bodies to provide premises for meetings with voters is prescribed in the law on the status of deputies to local councils. The parliamentarian proposes to extend its effect to the deputies of the Supreme Council, since he supposes that the wording "to render assistance" contained in the law regulating their activities is vague and should be concretized.

As the head of the responsible parliamentary committee Galina Antyufeeva reported, the law-in-draft of Oleg Petrik received 9 opinions from the subjects of the law initiative, all of them are positive. As a result, colleagues on the deputy corps adopted a law-in-draft "On Amendments and Addendum to the Constitutional Law of PMR" On the Status of a Deputy of the Supreme Council" in the first reading.
