February 15 post-Soviet space marks the 28th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. Commemorations began with a procession to the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol. A total column included relatives of those killed in Afghanistan, soldiers-internationalists, public figures. "The Immortal regiment" took place for the first time on the day of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. Decade-long war in Afghanistan was called the most brutal and bloody after the Great Patriotic War.
