30.01.2020

The Republic is preparing for the celebration of two significant anniversaries - the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. These dates in Pridnestrovie will be celebrated widely and especially solemnly. In terms of celebrations dedicated to the anniversary of the Great Victory there are more than 700 points. This is holding meetings of ceremonial meetings, actions, honoring veterans and home front workers and much more. Today, more than 500 events are planned dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of our republic. These are not final figures. Work on updating the plan of festive events that will be held throughout the republic continues.

Today, the proposals were voiced and discussed by members of Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council. According to the head of Consultative Assembly Igor Smirnov, the celebration of these anniversaries is a tribute to the memory of the victorious soldiers who defended their homeland during the Great Patriotic War and saved the whole world from the brown plague, and Pridnestrovians who defended the independence of their young republic in the early 90s.

The Chairman of Consultative Assembly announced the data for each city and district. 309 people are those who marched along the difficult roads of war, forged Victory in the rear, survived the horrors of concentration camps, and celebrated May 9, Victory Day in Tiraspol. There are 28 of them in Dnesterovsk, Bendery - 170, Slobodzeya - 269, Grigoriopol - 127, Dubossary - 122, Rybnitsa –285, Kamenka - 127.

Pridnestrovie will celebrate its anniversary on September 2. Our state will be 30. Members of the Consultative Assembly are rightfully the founders of the republic. Many of those who are in the hall today are the organizers of the OSTK, strikes and referenda. They are participants of the I and II congresses of deputies of all levels, deputies of the provisional and first convocation of the Supreme Council of the republic.

Discussing the preparation of the festivities, the first deputies made their own proposals. In their opinion, some important milestones in the development of our state are undeservedly forgotten. We need to tell young people about our history, whether in a lively dialogue with participants in those events, or in television programs and on the pages of newspapers, as well as in memoirs. To inform about how the elections to local authorities, the Supreme Council of the I convocation. To convey the truth about that difficult, but fateful time. Write about it in textbooks.

Among the voiced proposals - the holding of a nationwide congress, the participants of which should be representatives of public organizations, national communities, deputies of all levels.
