Igor Buga, “The work of state media is changing for the better"

New methods of working in conditions of an emergency and pandemic: telephone and online interviews, distant form and news related to coronavirus are in the reports on the work of chief editors of the state republican mass media. The COVID-19 pandemic was the impetus for the development of social networks of the state television channel, radio and news agency. For example, the First Pridnestrovian during the state of emergency, the number of subscribers in all social networks reached 100 thousand. The newspapers were doing worse, the number of subscribers has decreased. The unwillingness of authorities at various levels to subscribe to the republican press played a large role in this.

In general, deputies noted that the work of the state media has become better. For example, the Pridnestrovie newspaper has become more interesting and creative after the cancellation of the obligation to publish legislative acts, but television and radio managed to reformat the work, launched new projects, a lot of live communication appeared on the air. The parliamentarians had comments on the main editors of the media.

Igor Buga noted that the Committee on Information Policy is always in touch with the chief editors of state-owned media in order to advise, suggest and answer questions of interest.
