Igor Buga, "The main task of the trade unions - is the protection of workers' rights"

Members of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie, chairmen of trade union organizations, deputies of the Supreme Council, heads of ministries and departments, heads of state administrations, heads of enterprises participated in the reporting and election congress of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie. The congress delegates, 199 people were chosen in the Presidium of the Federation parliamentarians Igor Buga and Gregory Dyachenko, along with the Chairman of the Government of PMR Pavel Prokudin, ministers Tatyana Skripnik, Elena Kulichenko, the vice-president of SPAPP Yuri Cheban, a veteran trade union movement Margarita Gracheva.

The chairman of public organization Sergei Kalinin summarized the result of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie during 5 years. He noted that over the years the trade unions had to work in difficult conditions. According to him, the trade unions are "indicator in the society", reacting to the negative social and economic consequences of management decisions of the executive and legislative powers, are drives social experience for the development and adoption of legislative acts.

As the deputy underlined, trade union organizations are endowed with the right of legislative initiative, and this should be the main tool they use, sharply reacting to any infringement of the rights of workers. The current composition of the Supreme Council is ready to work closely with the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie on legislative issues. Meanwhile, parliamentarians do not watch activity on the part of the NGO members.

As a result of voting, Vasily Karamanov, chairman of the national trade association of trade unions of workers of industry Pridnestrovie was elected as the chairman of Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Pridnestrovie, his deputy - Maria Kulakly, chairman of the Bendery territorial associations of trade unions.
