The state unitary enterprise "Unified Electric Distribution Networks" is the legal successor of the enterprise "South-Eastern Electric Networks", formed in Tiraspol on July 1, 1974. In 1992, the enterprise came under the jurisdiction of the PMR, and was reorganized into the State Unitary Enterprise "ERES" in 2007.
The history of the enterprise was discussed at the capital's Palace of Culture on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The role of the enterprise’s workers was emphasized, thanks to whose work the homes of Pridnestrovians are light and warm. Electricians, engineers, power managers – 1170 people in total – work every day to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Life stories speak about the qualities possessed by employees of "Unified Electric Distribution Networks". For example, workers urgently repaired a damaged electrical network in life-threatening conditions so that surgeons could complete the operation in 1992 during armed conflict. "Unified Electric Distribution Networks" employees are always on duty in any weather conditions.
