28.10.2020

Deputies of the PMR Supreme Council at an online meeting considered amendments concerning the law on measures of state support during the state of emergency and quarantine. Social support will be provided to citizens who, during the state of emergency, from March 17 to June 15, have reached retirement age. The initiative was developed by the deputy Oleg Petrik based on requests from voters. The author of the amendments noted that during the state of emergency, almost all state authorities and state administrations changed the order of work. Pridnestrovians could contact on issues related to registration of a pension by phone or e-mail. In practice, there were 149 cases when, for various reasons, people could not apply for a pension.

Now, the day of the emergence of the right to it will be considered the day of applying for pension, which means reaching the retirement age. The main condition is to submit an application with the necessary documents or send them by mail within 3 months after the lifting of the state of emergency, before September 15. The parliamentarians adopted the corresponding amendments to the anti-crisis law in the second, final reading. 149 Pridnestrovians, who during the state of emergency were unable to issue an old-age pension in time, will recalculate. The amount of re-calculation of pensions for this category of citizens was 182 thousand rubles. They were originally included in the 2020 budget.
