The state will support agricultural producers

The law-in-draft adopted by the Parliament was created to provide support to farmers who faced adverse climatic conditions in 2019 and 2020, as well as restrictions related to countering the spread of coronavirus infection.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the area of ​​lost and damaged crops is about 65 thousand hectares of land.

Amendments that supplement the law give organizations and peasant farms operating in all sectors of agriculture the right to concessional lending to replenish working capital and to restore crops. Agrarians will be able to extend the repayment of loans issued earlier by 1 year.

In addition, agricultural producers are exempted from paying land tax, share collection and fixed agricultural tax from the lands on which the crop loss will be recorded. Reduced income tax rates for enterprises that process their fruits and vegetables.

The profile committee often received questions about whether those farms where they managed to sow the fields, but they also suffered from weather conditions, would be exempted from paying taxes.

Peasant farms operating on the basis of an entrepreneurial patent will be exempt from tax on potential annual income. Agricultural producers were exempted from paying rent for the land on which the crop died and where the state is the tenant.

In addition, the relevant committee recommended that the Government consider stimulating agricultural risk insurance, including, in the form of state support for agricultural producers when insuring risks against cases of crop loss.

The law-in-draft was adopted by the deputy corps in final reading and sent for signature to the President.
